The Last Mrs. Parrish

ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL NOVEMBER-LILY KING MONTH!

Genre: Fiction

This is the story of Daphne Parrish, a mom to two young girls, and wife to mogul, Jackson Parrish. Daphne was born into a middle-class family, but having fallen in love with Jackson, she is now living a life of wealth, pampering and indulgences. Daphne befriends Amber Patterson, who is a New York transplant from a small town. Amber is ever so jealous of Daphne, her perfect relationship and her luxurious life. Even though Amber doesn’t belong in Daphne’s world, the two women become fast friends. Or are they? Told alternately from Amber's perspective and then Daphne's, this is a story of deceit, lies and the sweetest of revenges.

This story is billed as a psychological thriller, but it is not. Constantine feeds you the story and then finishes it off with a tidy bow. It's no thriller, but I really enjoyed this one nonetheless. It was pure guilty pleasure (as in, no great writing, no insightful story, no great character development) and a fun story that I wanted to go back to and find out what happened to these characters. I definitely recommend this one.
